I always felt that had to be on my toes with David. No mistakes. Not only was he a brilliant ringer, he could also perform and entertain with his magic too. I well remember a guild social at Stowmarket which he hosted and which Simon Rudd and I (also performing with him) performed. We took the Mickey out of each other all night and it was brilliant. All in the name of entertainment and it worked brilliantly. I have nothing but fond memories of David, a man with a smile and a desire to entertain, but also a brilliant ringer. Gone too soon.
